This is a requirement from Section 85A of Akta Jalan, Parit dan Bangunan 1974 that all building owners in Malaysia whose building are more than 5 stories high are required to engage an independent professional Structural engineer to conduct and submit a visual inspection report every 10 years ; failing which may result in penalties.
