This is a requirement from Section 85A of Akta Jalan, Parit dan Bangunan 1974 that all building owners in Malaysia whose building are 5 or more storey high are required to engage an independent professional Structural engineer to conduct and submit a visual inspection report every 10 years ; failing which may result in penalties. MFY has been actively participating in helping clients with such reports and recommendations since 2010. The fee varies from size of building and number of floors and clients may call directly to MFY for him to make a free pre-visit and provide quote .
Complementing our building inspection works, we found the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) or Drone for short, a very powerful tool to aid us and our clients to benefit from valuable visual information from the sky. This is especially true when it comes to tall building facades, glazing, rooftops, and so on. MFY owns and operates their drone equipment and will be expanding the service from photos and video editing (consumer products) to Enterprise Analytics such on-site quantity take-off and point-cloud (3D mapping).
For all new projects, we provide cost-effective infra-structure and structural designs, PE endorsed drawings fit for tender, submission and construction stages. With emerging high-tech design tools and new high-rise building trends, MFY takes the challenge to keep up by always updating their computing and software skills. MFY uses the latest 3D Finite Element Methods (picture shown actual design work for the Batu Rakit project) with BIM technology which in turn provides better cost savings for the client and improves workflow for the project team.
